Applying Justification Controls

Justification determines how lines fit between margins. For instance, the lines in this paragraph come as close as possible to the end of the margin with a certain amount of space between the words. InDesign provides three different ways to control justification.

Word spacing changes the space between words. Letter spacing changes the space between letters. Glyph scaling changes the shape of the letters. (See the sidebar on the next page for a discussion of the best settings.)
