Type in reverse

There's no one-step method for creating reversed type. You have to change the type color to white (see page 233) and change the background of the text box to black (see page 234). To create reversed type in subheads or other repetitive text, use a black or colored paragraph rule (see page 92). The reverse headline on the sidebars in this book was created using such a rule.

Break The Rule

Draw lines using the Orthogonal Line tool. Use the Step & Repeat feature (Ctrl-Alt-D), 0 Vertical Offset, to duplicate them. I wish there was an easier way.
