To drag-and-drop text:

1.
Choose the Content tool.

2.
Highlight the text that you want to move or copy (see page 47) .

3.
Release the mouse.

To move the text, press on the highlighted text, drag the blinking cursor to a new location, then release the mouse .

or

To move a copy of the text, press on the highlighted text, then hold down Shift and drag the blinking cursor to a new location (a box and a plus sign will display as you drag).

Tip

The drag and drop text is automatically placed on the Clipboard, but you won't be aware of it unless you use the Paste command or choose Edit menu > Show Clipboard.


The Text Inset is the blank space between text and the four edges of the box that contains it. A Text Inset value greater than zero should be applied to any box that has a frame to create breathing space between the text and the frame.
