An auxiliary dictionary is a user-defined dictionary that can be created to work in conjunction with the QuarkXPress dictionary. Unlike the QuarkXPress dictionary, an auxiliary dictionary can be edited. Only one auxiliary dictionary can be open at a time, but a document can be checked for spelling several times, each time with a different auxiliary dictionary open. And the same auxiliary dictionary can be used with any number of documents.
