To update the path to a picture using Picture Usage:

1.
Optional: Choose the Content tool, then click on the picture that you want to update in the document window.

2.
Choose Utilities menu > Usage.

3.
Click the Pictures folder tab.

4.
Click any file name whose Status is listed as Missing or Modified. If you clicked on a picture for step 1, its name will highlight automatically. Otherwise, you can click Show, if desired, to see the picture selected in the document window .

5.
Click Update .

6.
For a missing picture, choose the picture file name in the Find "[ ]" dialog box, then click Open.

Note: If you update a picture using the Usage > Pictures folder tab or by responding to an Auto Picture Import prompt and other missing pictures are located in the same folder, a prompt will appear. Click OK to update all the missing pictures in that folder at once. This won't work for a modified picture.

For a modified picture, click OK.

7.
Click Close.

Tip

If you need to replace one picture with another using the Get Picture command and you want to keep the previously applied specifications, (scale, color, position, etc.), delete the current picture before importing the new one.
