Chapter 9. Pictures

Chapter 9. Pictures

In QuarkXPress, a picture can be imported into a variety of different-shaped picture boxes. First you create a box using one of the picture box tools (Bézier or non-Bézier), then you import a picture into it. File formats that can be imported include .PCX, .GIF, Scitex CT (.CT, .SCT), JPEG (.JPG), TIFF (.TIF), PAINT, PICT (.PCT), EPS, Windows Metafile (.WMF), and Bitmap (.BMP). If the PhotoCD Import XTension is enabled (use the XTensions Manager), you can also import a Kodak PhotoCD(.PCD) picture from a PhotoCD. Béziers are covered in Chapter 12. Most of the commands that are discussed in this chapter can be applied to a Bézier picture box, in addition to a standard picture box.
