To wrap text around a picture:

1.
Choose the Item or Content tool.

2.
Select a picture box, and make sure it's on top of the text box. If it's not, choose Item menu > Bring to Front.

Choose Item menu > Runaround (Ctrl-T).

4.
Choose Type: Non-White Areas.

5.
Enter a number in points in the Outset field to adjust the space between the picture and its surrounding text.

Check the Same As Clipping box if you want the text runaround to conform to a QuarkXPress clipping path and to utilize all the options that were chosen for that clipping path.

Click Apply to preview.

7.
Click OK or press Enter.

8.
Press Shift-Esc to force the screen to redraw.

Note: Normally, text will wrap around three sides of a picture or picture box within a column. To wrap text completely around a picture box or picture box, select the text box, choose Item menu > Modify (Ctrl-M) or right-click and choose Modify, click the Text folder tab, check the Run Text Around All Sides box, then click OK .

Tip

Beware: If you choose Picture Bounds as the clipping path type and choose Non-White Areas as the runaround type, the text will wrap to the edge of the image, but it will be obscured by the opaque background of the picture. A picture's bounding box usually isn't the same as the edge of the picture box.
