Chapter 8. Multiple items > To cut or copy contents (picture or text) between p...

To cut or copy contents (picture or text) between pages or documents:

1.
Choose the Content tool.

2.
Click on the picture or highlight the text that you want to copy or cut.

3.
Choose Edit menu > Copy (Ctrl-C) or Cut (Ctrl-X) (or right-click and choose Copy or Cut).

4.
Click on the destination page or in the destination document window.

5.
Make sure the Content tool is still selected, then click in the picture box, text box, or text path into which you want to paste.

6.
Choose Edit menu > Paste (Ctrl-V) or right-click and choose Paste.

Tip

If you copy-and-paste or drag-copy text or a text box between documents, any style sheet that is applied to that item will also copy, providing the appending style sheet name doesn't match an existing style sheet name in the destination document; if there is an exact match, the style sheet won't append.
