To indent the first line of a paragraph:

1.
Choose the Content tool.

2.
Click in a paragraph or press and drag through a series of paragraphs.

3.
Choose Style menu > Formats (Ctrl-Shift-F).

4.
Enter a number in the First Line field . If you're not sure what value to use, start with the point size of the text you're indenting.

5.
Click Apply to preview (Alt-A).

6.
Click OK or press Enter .

Tip

Indents and tab stops can be adjusted by pressing and dragging the indent and tab stop markers in the ruler that displays when the Paragraph Formats dialog box is open. Insert a new tab stop by clicking in the ruler (more about tabs later in this chapter).
