Chapter 15. Color > To delete colors from the Colors palette:

To delete colors from the Colors palette:

1.
To delete a color from a document, open the document now.

or

To delete a color from the default Colors palette (the palette that appears when you create a new document), make sure no documents are open.

Choose Edit menu > Colors (Shift-F12).

Click on the name of the color that you want to delete. Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White, and Registration cannot be deleted.

To delete all the colors that are not currently being used in the document, choose Show: Colors Not Used , then select the colors you want to delete. This can reduce the document's file size. To select multiple, contiguous colors, click on the first in a series, then Shift-click on the last color in the series. To select multiple, non-contiguous colors, Ctrl-click them individually.

Click Delete. If a deleted color is currently applied to any item in the active document, a prompt will appear. Choose a replacement color from the "Replace with" drop-down menu , then click OK.

5.
Click Save.

Find/Change colors.

You can use the Color Change XTension from Vision's Edge, Inc. to search for and replace colors in a document.
