To convert a standard box or line into a Bézier box or line:

1.
Choose the Item or Content tool.

2.
Select the item you want to convert.

3.
Choose the freehand box icon from the Item menu > Shape submenu to convert the item into a closed Bézier box . Note: See the tip on the next page before converting a standard line to a Bézier box. If you convert a standard oval into a Bézier box, the new Bézier box will have all corner points—not curve handles.

Choose the freehand line icon from the Item menu > Shape submenu to convert the item into a Bézier line. If you convert a text box into a line, you'll get an open path . If you convert a picture box containing a picture into a line, you'll get a warning prompt. Click OK, and the picture will be deleted.

Tip

If you convert a box into a line, one of the corner points of the box will be split into two points to form the line's two endpoints, and they will be positioned directly on top of each other (look in the lower-left corner). Select and move either point, if you like.
