Chapter 5. Word Processing > Entering and Editing Text

Entering and Editing Text

The most basic aspect of entering text into a QuarkXPress document is making sure that what you type shows up where you want it. QuarkXPress novices often become flustered when they open a document and start typing, only to find that nothing is happening. However, QuarkXPress stretches beyond that interface, adding many features to the standard Macintosh and Windows methods of moving the insertion point and selecting text. One of the many things I like about QuarkXPress is that it provides more than one way to do the same thing; you can use either the mouse or the keyboard to select and to navigate.
