Color and Shade

You can quickly and easily change the color or the tint (shade) of a block of text. First, select the text and then select either the color from the Color submenu, or the tint value from the Shade submenu of the Style menu. You can also use the Colors palette to set both of these attributes (see Chapter 12, Color). The default tints are in multiples of 10 percent; however, you can assign a specific tint value by selecting Other from the Shade submenu, or by typing a value in the upper-right corner of the Colors palette (see Figure 6-8).
