Chapter 2. QuarkXPress Basics > Manipulating Your Document

Manipulating Your Document

Okay, now that I've covered how you can move around your document, let's talk about how you can insert, delete, and move pages within your document. There are three good ways to handle these tasks in QuarkXPress: menu items, thumbnails, and the Document Layout palette. Let's look at each one of these.

Menu Manipulations

As I said much earlier in this chapter, the Page menu holds QuarkXPress's page-manipulation tools. In this section we're primarily interested in the first three menu items: Insert, Delete, and Move. I'm holding off on a discussion of inserting pages until another chapter (see “Making Pages” in Chapter 4, Building a Document), so I'll talk about the last two.
