Chapter 12. Color > Colors Palette

Colors Palette

Just like style sheets, you can apply and edit colors with a click using the Colors palette (see Figure 12-7). This floating palette contains a list of every available color, along with a tint-percentage control popup menu, and three icons. These icons gray out depending on what object you have selected. When you select a text box, the icons represent frame color, text color, and background color for that box. When you select a line, two icons gray out, and only the line-color icon remains. New in XPress 5, each color in the palette also displays an icon that shows whether it's a spot color or process color.
