Chapter 24. XML > To tag a story that is styled using several different style s...

To tag a story that is styled using several different style sheets:

1.
Make sure the correct tagging rule set is chosen from the Tagging Rule Set pop-up menu on the XML Workspace palette . The Tagging Rules command created connections (links) between the style sheet names and the XML elements.

2.
Click in a story (text box) in an open QuarkXPress print document.

3.
Cmd-drag/Ctrl-drag the text box over the desired element on the XML Tree (the “body” element in our example gained nested child subelements on the XML Tree) . Each subelement represents a style sheet that was declared in the DTD, specified as a rule in the tagging rule set, and found in the story in the QuarkXPress file. (We specified that these subelements were to be organized within the body container element in the DTD.)

TIP

More than one story can be tagged to the same parent element. The subelements of the second story will display on the palette following the elements of the first story that was tagged, regardless of the location of the stories in the QuarkXPress file.
