Image maps

Images can do more than just make a Web site look nice—they also can be used as links. First an image is divided into regions (called “hot areas”), and then each region is assigned a unique link . Together, the hot areas and links form what is known an image map. If a user clicks on a region, they are taken to another Web page or site . Image maps are fun to use and they look better than text links.
