Chapter 4. Text Input > To change the text inset:

To change the text inset:

1.
Choose the Item or Content tool.

2.
Click on the text box.

3.
Choose Item > Modify (Cmd-M/Ctrl-M), then click the Text tab.

To apply a uniform Text Inset value to all edges of the text box, leave Multiple Insets unchecked, then enter a value in the All Edges field (1 pt. is the default) . If you're entering a value in points, you don't have to reenter the “pt.”

To enter a different Text Inset value for each edge of the text box, check Multiple Insets , then enter Top, Left, Bottom, and Right values.

Optional: Click Apply to preview, then readjust the Text Inset values, if desired.

Click OK.
