To unlink text boxes or paths:

1.
Choose the Unlinking tool.

2.
Click one of the text boxes in the chain that you want to unlink.

Find the links

To see where the links are in a document, choose a small display size (around 30%), then click one of the boxes in the link chain with the Unlinking tool. Choose a different tool when you're finished.


3.
Click the head or tail of the link arrow . Links preceding the break will remain intact; the link to succeeding boxes or paths will be broken . (You can't undo this, but you can relink.)

TIP

If you are unable to unlink with the Unlinking tool, make sure there are no other items obstructing the one that you're trying to click on.
