Chapter 2. Startup > To create a template:

To create a template:

1.
Choose File > Save or Save As.

2.
In the Mac OS, choose Type: Template. In Windows, choose Save as type: Template (*.qxt). For a Web document, choose Web Template/Web template (*.qwt).

3.
To create a normal document from the template, open the file, choose File > Save (the Save As dialog box will open automatically), enter a name for the non-template version, then click Save.

TIP

To edit the template itself, open it, edit it, choose File > Save, reenter the exact same name of the template, choose its current location, click Save, then click Replace/Yes when the prompt appears.
