Chapter 23. Print > To collect for output:

To collect for output:

Save the document, then choose File > Collect for Output. If any pictures can't be located or were modified after they were imported into the Quark XPress file, the Missing/Modified Pictures dialog box will open. Click List Pictures, update the pictures, then click Collect (see page 166).

Choose a location for the folder .

In the Mac OS, click the New button, change the folder name, if desired, then click Create. In Windows, click the New Folder button, change the folder name, if desired, then double-click the folder icon to open it.

Optional: Change the Report Name.

Check any of the Collect boxes for file components to be included in the folder: Document, Linked Pictures, Embedded Pictures (e.g., PICT, BMP, and WMF files), Color Profiles (ICC profiles), Screen Fonts (Mac OS only), and Printer Fonts/Fonts.

Click Save (click OK if a prompt appears). A folder containing the current document, the components that you checked in the previous step, and a detailed report file, will be created.

After using the Collect for Output command, you can flow the report file into the Output Request template, print that report, and then give the printout to your service provider along with your computer file.
