To scale a picture box using the Measurements palette:

1.
Choose the Item or Content tool.

2.
Click on a picture box.

3.
Double-click the W field on the Measurements palette, enter a number in an increment as small as .001 to modify the width of the box , then press Return/Enter.

Double-click the H field on the Measurements palette, enter a number to modify the height of the box, then press Return/Enter.

TIP

To enlarge or reduce the dimensions of a box by a specified amount, insert the cursor after the current value in the W or H field, enter a plus (+) or minus (-) sign, then enter the amount you want to add or subtract in any measurement unit used in QuarkXPress. You can also use / (backslash) to divide the current value or * (asterisk) to multiply it.
