To anchor an item into text:

1.
Choose the Item tool.

2.
Select the item to be anchored (e.g., a table, a line, or perhaps an interesting graphic that you want to use as a drop cap).

3.
Choose Edit > Copy (Cmd-C/Ctrl-C) or Cut (Cmd-X/Ctrl-X).

4.
Choose the Content tool.

5.
Click in a text box or on a text path to create an insertion point .

6.
Choose Edit > Paste (Cmd-V/Ctrl-V) . You can do almost anything to an anchored item: Reshape it, rotate it, recolor it, scale it, add a frame to it, change its content (picture, text or none), convert its shape, or apply a Runaround value to it (even a negative Runaround value!).
