To move an item forward or backward:

1.
Choose the Item or Content tool.

2.
Select an item .

Choose Item > Send to Back (Shift-F5) or Bring to Front (F-5) .

In the Mac OS, hold down Option and choose Item > Send Backward or Bring Forward.

In the Mac OS, if Control Key Activates: Contextual Menu is chosen in Edit > Preferences > Preferences > Application–Interactive, Control-click the item and choose Send & Bring > Bring To Front, Bring Forward, Send To Back, or Send Backward. If Zoom is chosen as the Control Key preference, Control-Shift-click.

In Windows, Right-click and choose Send & Bring > Send Backward, Send To Back, Bring Forward, or Bring To Front.

You can paste a line, picture box, or text box of any shape into a text box or onto a text path as an inline graphic. In Quark XPress version 5.0 or later, you can also anchor a text path, table, or group! An anchored item functions like a character in that it remains anchored to the text if the text reflows, and yet it remains fully editable.
