Chapter 6. Formats > To add space between paragraphs:

To add space between paragraphs:

1.
Choose the Content tool.

2.
Click in a paragraph or drag downward through a series of paragraphs.

3.
Choose Style > Formats (Cmd-Shift-F/Ctrl-Shift-F).

4.
Enter a Space Before or Space After value .

5.
Click Apply to preview (Cmd-A/Alt-A).

6.
Click OK .

Figure 2. If you want to fine-tune the spacing between paragraphs, use the Space Before or Space After field. Don't insert extra returns—it's so-o--o unprofessional.

TIP

The Space Before command has no effect on the first line of text in a box. To move text downward on a page, the simplest thing is to move the box itself—an obvious solution that's easy to forget! If you don't want to move the box, use First Baseline (see page 63) or Text Inset (see page 59).
