Chapter 6. Formats > To indent the first line of a paragraph:

To indent the first line of a paragraph:

1.
Choose the Content tool.

2.
Click in a paragraph or drag downward through a series of paragraphs.

3.
Choose Style > Formats (Cmd-Shift-F/Ctrl-Shift-F).

4.
Enter a First Line value . If you're not sure what value to use, start with the point size of the text you're indenting.

5.
Click Apply to preview (Cmd-A/Alt-A).

6.
Click OK .

TIP

When the Paragraph Formats dialog box is open, a ruler displays over the currently selected text box. Indents and tab stops can be adjusted by dragging the indent and tab stop markers in the ruler . To insert a new tab stop, click in the ruler. (Read more about tabs in Chapter 8.)
