To create a Web-safe color:

1.
Choose Edit > Colors (Shift-F12), then click New.

or

If an item is selected, Control-click/Right-click in the Colors palette and choose New. (If a table is selected, use the Content tool.)

From the Model pop-up menu, choose Web Named Colors or Web Safe Colors. Web Safe colors are numbered according to their hexadecimal values.

Click a color swatch.

For a Web Named Color, start typing the name in the HTML field until the desired color becomes highlighted . For a Web Safe Color, enter a number in the Hex Value field . You can use a hexadecimal color guide or table for reference.

Click OK.

Click Save, if necessary. The new color will appear on the Colors palette and in dialog boxes that have a color option.

The Undo command can't be used to retrieve a deleted color. Use File > Revert to Saved if you have to.
