Chapter 9. Improving the Appearance of F... > Changing Line or Border Thickness

Changing Line or Border Thickness

You can adjust the thickness of any line, shape, or field border with the Line/Border Width button. You can modify field border thickness from Form or Report view, but to modify lines or rectangles, you must work in Design view. After you choose one of the many Formatting toolbar buttons, such as Line/Border Width, any similar objects you subsequently create will be formatted with the currently selected formatting, as indicated on the toolbar button.

Change the Thickness of a Line or Border

Display the form or report in Design view, or, if you are modifying a field border, display the form or report in Form or Report view.

Select the line or border whose line thickness you want to adjust.

Click the Line/Border Width button list arrow on the Formatting toolbar, and then select the thickness you want.

If you want to format an existing object with the currently selected formatting, you can simply select the object, and then click the appropriate button on the Formatting toolbar—you don't need to click the button's list arrow and repeat your selection from the menu.
