Inserting a New Object

You can create objects from scratch without leaving the Access program. After you drag to create a new unbound object frame control, the Insert Object dialog box appears, and you can select the program in which you want to create the graphic. The programs that appear correspond to the software installed on your computer. For example, if you want to create a picture in Microsoft Paint, a graphics accessory that accompanies the Microsoft Windows operating system, you can choose the Bitmap Image option.

Insert a New Object

In Design view, click the Unbound Object Frame button on the Toolbox.

With the Unbound Object pointer, drag a rectangle where you want the picture to appear. Make the rectangle approximately the same size as the picture you will insert.

Click the Create New option.

Double-click the program in which you want to create an object.

Create the new object using the tools that appear in the program you selected.

Click outside the window in which you created the unbound object.

The program with which you created the object closes, and the new object is inserted in the form or report.
