Transferring the Project’s Database to a Server

Access 2002 adds two new choices to the ADP Tools, Database Utilities menu—Transfer Database and Copy Database File. The Transfer Database choice uses SQL Server 2000’s Data Transformation Service to create a copy of the current database on another machine running SQL Server. The most common use for this utility is to place a database you’ve developed into production on a workgroup server. Transfer Database is a live copying process; you don’t need to disconnect from the current database.

To copy your project’s database to a server, do the following:
