Creating Reports

After the appropriate connectivity method is chosen and properly configured, it’s time to start creating reports. As with all reports that are created, a significant amount of planning and requirements gathering should be done before creating the report. This will minimize the number of revisions necessary to complete the report. You might want to ask the following questions of the persons who need the report:

  • Why is this report being created?

  • Who is the intended audience?

  • What are the basic functions this report should deliver?
