Converting Data Access Pages from Access 2000 to 2002

DAP are an exception to the transparency between Access 2000 and 2002 file formats. DAP store page design in .htm files, not in .mdb or .adp files; .mdb and .adp files store only links to the .htm files. When you open a page created by Access 2000 in Page Design view, you receive the first message shown in Figure 31.7. After you convert the .htm file to Access 2002 format, the second message appears to advise you that the upgraded page can't be opened in Access 2000.

Figure 31.7. You receive the upper warning message when you open in Access 2002 DAP created in Access 2000. After you convert the page, the lower message appears.
