Chapter 20. Using Access with Microsoft Excel > Formatting PivotTable Reports

Formatting PivotTable Reports

Excel's AutoFormat feature lets you generate PivotTable reports in a set of predefined, standard formats. To format your PivotTable as a Pivot Table report, do the following:

  1. Right-click within the PivotTable area and choose Format Report to open the AutoFormat dialog, which offers 12 standard PivotTable report formats, including no formatting (see Figure 20.26).

    Note

The bitmap images of the available formats don't show your PivotTable dimensions; the dimensions of the bitmaps are illustrative only.

  2. Click your choice of formats and then click OK to close the dialog. Figure 20.27 illustrates the Report 7 format, which automatically includes the entire dimension hierarchy, in Access Run mode.
