Working with the ADODB.Connection Object

The Connection object is the primary top-level ADO component. You must successfully open a Connection object to a data source before you can use associated Command or Recordset objects.

Connection Properties

Table 27.1 lists the names and descriptions of the properties of the ADODB.Connection object. In addition to the properties listed in Table 27.1, the Connection object has a collection of provider-specific properties that are beyond the scope of this book.
