Converting Your Combo Box Form to an Access Data Project

The Access Upsizing Wizard (AUW) does a fair job of converting entire Access 2000 applications to Access Data Projects (ADP). In some cases, the AUW can't upsize a form to an operable version in ADP. The frmCombo1 form you created in the preceding sections provides a good example of the problems you encounter when upsizing forms to ADP.

Tip # 273 from

It's often a better approach to upsize your front-end application incrementally, migrating individual forms and reports by importing the objects from the original .mdb file to the new .adp file. This approach lets you test each form with MSDE or SQL Server 7.0, and conform Access SQL to Transact-SQL statements to make the form operable.
