Integrating the Office VBA Editor with Access

Access is the last VBA-supporting member of Office to gain the questionable benefits of the VBA IDE, as mentioned at the beginning of this chapter. (Visual Basic 6.0 still hasn't adopted the VBA IDE). Unlike the VBA and Access Basic editors of prior versions with their integrated Editor window, the VBA Editor is a separate application whose window opens when you open a module. Figure 1.10 shows the VBA Editor with all windows except the Object Browser open and docked. By default, the VBA Editor docks all windows except the Object Browser. The Immediate window takes the place of the Debug window of Access 97 and earlier.
