Exporting Access Tables to a Client/Server Database

Creating the definition of tables in a client/server database can be a very lengthy process, especially if you need to write SQL DDL statements in ISQL/w to create the tables. SQL Server's SQL Enterprise Manager simplifies the process of creating new client/server tables. It's even easier, however, to export your existing Access tables to a database in SQL Server. When you export Access tables to SQL Server, you ensure that the SQL Server table's field data types correspond to the data types of your Access table.

Using Access's Built-In Export Feature

To export a table from Northwind.mdb to the pubs database, follow these steps:
