Part I: Getting Started > Importing and Linking to Data - Pg. 107

107 Chapter 4. Importing and Linking to Data In this chapter, you will learn how to: · Determine whether to import data or link to data · Import data from an Excel worksheet, a text file, another Access database, and other data for- mats · Split a database so that forms and reports in one database file are linked to tables in another database file · Link to tables in a separate Access database · Use a macro to import data The task of getting data into your database will likely involve different processes and might vary from table to table. For some tables, you can enter data in the table's Datasheet view, as you've done in several exercises in previous chapters. This method is good to use for a table with only a few fields and records, when you know what data to enter without needing to refer to related data.
