Chapter 12. Access and the Web > Working with a Data Access Page in Design View - Pg. 437

Access and the Web 437 4. 5. 6. In this example, we'll use a bound span control rather than a text box to display the name of each country. If you want to use a bound span control rather than a text box as the default control for a data access page, open the data access page in Design view. On the Edit menu, click Select Page. On the Format tab of the Properties dialog box, set the DefaultControlType property to Bound Span. Delete the label for the bound span control, and then move the bound span control to the left side of the data access page. Right-click the bound span control, and then click Element Properties on the shortcut menu. On the Data tab of the Properties dialog box, shown here, select Country in the Control Source property, and then close the Properties dialog box: 7. Near the bottom of the data access page, Right-click the label Navigation:MarketingCam- paigns. As shown here, the navigation bar below the label is selected. Clear the check box beside Record Navigation. You'll see that the navigation bar is removed from the page.
