The most noticeable differences between Access desktop databases (.mdb) and Access project files (.adp) are in the tables and queries (views, functions, and stored procedures). Because Access projects store all their tables and queries in SQL Server, project tables and queries have many new design elements that you must understand to effectively use them. However, you won’t notice many differences when building forms.
