Chapter 8. Stored Procedures > Parameters and Variables

Parameters and Variables

Stored procedures can be assigned parameters, which are read when the procedure is executed in much the same way as parameters for Access mdb queries.

Parameters

Unlike Access mdb queries, all parameters for stored procedures must be declared. In mdb queries, you simply needed to use a parameter to define it. For parameters’ data types, you can use the SQL Server data types described in Chapter 5, “Tables in Access Projects.”
