Deleting Databases

In Access projects, you can select Tools, then Database Utilities, and then Drop SQL Database to delete a database from the local SQL Server/MSDE. Note that this deletes the database to which the currently opened Access project is connected.

If you are using the SQL Server Enterprise Manager, you can delete databases there, as described in Chapter 19, “SQL Server Tools.” To delete databases, you must be a member of the sysadmin or dbcreator server role (see Chapter 20, “Security”).
