Quiz

1:Why do you need to worry about port numbers?
2:How do you control access to databases you share with Instant Web Publishing?
3:Can Instant Web Publishing handle portals and relationships?

Quiz Answers

A1: Only one application can use a port at a time. If HTTP requests come into your computer, they normally come to port 80 and are directed to Web server software. If you are running a Web server (or are configured to do so), you need to use an alternative port such as 591 for incoming FileMaker Web server requests.
A2: You control access with the unified security model of account names and privileges. However, you also have the ability to control access by the IP address of the user.
A3: Yes. The only things it cannot handle are certain script steps that manipulate the FileMaker interface itself.
