FileMaker Toolbars

Like many other applications, FileMaker provides optional toolbars. These group various commands in a toolbar that you can move around the screen. As you bring it close to the side or top of the screen or window, it snaps into place. You can use the slightly roughened edge at the left to drag it out of the window where you can position and size it exactly as you want. You show and hide the toolbars from the Toolbars subcommand in the View menu. (You can also close them with their own close boxes.)

On Windows, toolbars dock at the top of the window, underneath the menu bar. On Mac OS X, toolbars dock at the top of the screen, underneath the menu bar.
