Hour 2. Using FileMaker and Its Basic Templates > Working with FileMaker Views

Working with FileMaker Views

FileMaker supports three types of views in Browse mode. You can switch among them using the View menu. When you create a layout, you can limit the views available to it, but frequently all three views are available for any given layout. (You learn more about views in Hour 4.)

Form View

Form view is the view that you've seen so far in this hour. A single record is shown in the window. If the layout is too big, scroll bars let you scroll up and down or back and forth. To go to the next record, you use the book control, create a new record, find records, and so forth.
