Exploring the Define Database Dialog

When you create a database, the Define Database dialog opens automatically to the Fields tab, which is what you've been working with so far. The two other tabs are particularly relevant when you work with relationships, as you'll see in Hour 14. However, even for a single table they contain useful information.

Tables Tab

The Tables tab, shown in Figure 13.13, lists all the tables in your database. In the example shown in Figure 13.13, there is only one table in the database, but you can have more. (Remember that before version 7, a FileMaker database was a single table.)
