Lesson 4. Using the Help System > Using the Microsoft Access Help Window

Using the Microsoft Access Help Window

As soon as the Microsoft Access Help window is open (from one of the Office Assistant's searches), you can browse the Help system on your own. If you have used an earlier version of a Microsoft Office product, you might be familiar with the Contents, Index, and Find mechanisms that used to be the hallmark of a Microsoft product's Help system. These are still available in Office 2000 programs such as Access, but in a slightly different form.

If you're using an Office Assistant, the only way to get into the main Help system is by asking a question, as you learned to do earlier in this lesson. If you turn off the Office Assistant, however, as explained in the preceding section, choosing Help, Microsoft Access Help accesses the Help system directly.
