Assigning Passwords to Database Files

The easiest way to prevent other people from making changes to your database is to assign a password to it. Anyone who doesn't know the password will be prevented from opening the file. You must have the database open in Exclusive mode (see the preceding section) to set a password for it. After you set the password for a database, users don't need to open it in Exclusive mode.

Setting a Password
