Importing Clip Art

If you're used to other Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and PowerPoint, you might be disappointed to learn that Microsoft Access doesn't directly use the Clip Gallery program as the others do. However, if the Clip Gallery has been installed with another Office program, you can use it through Access. Follow these steps:

  1. In Design view, select the section on the form where you want the picture to go (Form Header, Detail, or Form Footer).

  2. Choose Insert, Object or click the Unbound Object tool in the Toolbox to insert an unbound object control on the form. The Insert Object dialog box opens.

  3. Choose Microsoft Clip Gallery from the list of object types.

  4. Click OK. The Clip Gallery window appears.

  5. Click the category of clip you want (for example, Animals or Business). The available clips appear.

  6. Click the clip art image you want, and then click its Insert Clip button (see Figure 17.1).

Figure 17.1. Select a clip from the Clip Gallery.

  7. Click OK to close the Clip Gallery.

  8. Drag the clip around on the form to position it as needed.
