Creating a New Report

You can create a new report in several ways—the most common is to select the Reports tab in the Database window and click New to open the New Report dialog box. (See Figure 7.8.) Here, you can select from many options available for creating reports. Reports can be created from scratch by using Design view; they can also be created with the help of five wizards. Three of the wizards help you build standard reports, one helps you build reports with charts, and the last wizard automates the process of creating mailing labels. The Report Wizards are so powerful that I use one of them to build the initial foundation for almost every report I create.
